I'm

About

I hold a PhD in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, which was obtained under the supervision of Professor John B. Theocharis, in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. My research is mainly focused on remote sensing and the development and application of novel classification and modeling methods from the domain of eXplainable Artificial Intelligence in agriculture and soil science in particular. I am positioned at the Automation and Robotics Lab, as well as in the Lab of Remote Sensing and GIS.

Earth observation researcher 🌏🛰️

Focal point: Remote sensing (space- and air-borne imaging sensors) and in situ spectroscopy for soil science.

My research interests include the development of novel XAI models (employing evolutionary algorithms, fuzzy systems, and deep learning) to be applied on Earth Observation data, and large-scale data analytics.
